Welcome

Hello everybody. I hope you have all had a very merry Christmas and are about to begin a happy new year.
Some of you may know me from LinkedIn, some through my personal connections and yet others through the various organisations I have worked with over the last 16 plus years.
Many more of you though probably know me through my work at BusinessLeaners.com, the website and company I started in order to support organisations to realise the true worth of the adoption of Lean practices and the work required to ensure Lean efforts become a long term success.
Unfortunately I have had to cease my work on the BusinessLeaners.com website, due to unforeseen changes in my work and personal life. It is for this reason that I have begun the BusinessLeaners Blog.
The aim of this blog is much the same as the website. To begin changing mindsets and turn the ratio of successful and unsuccessful Lean around.
The format of my posts is intended to be slightly different to most blogs. Instead of telling you my experiences and stories I will post questions, My aim is to drive deeper thought and understanding and therefore alter the mindsets of my readers to achieve successful Lean transformation.
My target audience include Executives and Organisational Leaders and managers from organisations either, setting out on their journey or, those who have attempted Lean before but failed. It is with these people that the success, or otherwise, of any Lean attempt is decided.

I believe that every organisation can successfully transform themselves into a thinking organisation, destined for growth and longevity through the instigation of a constant battle with waste (in all it's forms). All that is required is the know Why, the know How and the know What.

With that I'd like to start off this new Blog with my first question:

Why has/did your organisation begin on their Lean journey?
